Project 4 Analysis

I really enjoyed creating Project 4 and I think it has been the easiest and most enjoyable project yet. I thought this genre was most relevant to our lives than any other genres we have been working with. Obviously humor is a part of our every day lives and the technology available today makes it an even bigger part of our lives than it ever was before. For this project, I created a blog compiling many different experiences and situations in which ISU students have gone through and wrote about somewhere on the internet. I had a fun time creating this blog because I was able to incorporate something I use in my every day life (Twitter) to create an assignment for school. It was hard to think about why something was funny or what makes it funny when I never considered that question before. If you think something is funny, you laugh; you don't sit and ponder why you laughed or what made what you are laughing about humorous to you. That was the only difficult part about this project so the blog posts really made you think. Another thing I did not love about the project, was piecing together the final formatted project. I created a blog using a Microsoft word document and did not post it any where on the web because I am simply terrible with technology and did not want to ruin what I spent so much time creating by attempting to blog it online. However, I think the blog is just as enjoyable either way. I was very happy with the feedback I received from my two peer reviewers in class last Friday. They agreed with why the blogs were funny and shared similar views on the project such as why it was easy or fun. I think I will have an enjoyable time revising this blog into a different format for the final portfolio.
